The first chapters deal with habitat, life cycle and distribution, then anatomy, physiology and classification. The following sections detail the 75 species, with a thorough account and superb illustrations of each. Over 50 years after its publication, "The Tunicata" remains one of the most important works on the Ascidiacea.
