Pisces Conservation: tuition in multivariate statistical methods
We have designed our CAP and ECOM packages to be simple to use and to produce clear, unambiguous output. However, even the most experienced ecologist will know that it is not always easy to interpret the results of a multivariate analysis.
To assist users who need clarification of how CAP & ECOM work, and what their output means in ecological terms, Pisces run one-day workshops on Multivariate Statistics; we will present the course at your university department or workplace, at a cost of
£350 + VAT, plus travel and accommodation expenses. Each attendee will receive a copy of our PowerPoint lecture CD "An Introduction to Multivariate Statistics". We require:
- Minimum of 3 attendees
- Room with tables and chairs for each person
- PC or laptop for each attendee
- If your premises are more than 2½ hours from our office, accommodation locally the night before the course.
If you prefer, we can offer individual tuition at our
offices in Lymington, Hampshire. Accommodation can be arranged locally if required.
Our workshops, which we have held regularly since 2001, have proven very successful and rewarding for the participants. If you are interested, please

We look forward to seeing you.
"Thank you very much for including me in your workshop. It was a great day and very helpful for my research. I will be an avid user of ECOM now".
"We found it to be a conscise informative workshop which we could tailor to our own needs, covering a wide range of multivariate techniques. Using our own datasets allowed for better interpretation of the program and gave us a chance to deal with problems usually encountered while running such statistics".
"The one day course was very informative and covered theory, data manipulation and interpretation of outputs from the user-friendly software".
